Wedding Videography

You want a memorable, lively and entertaining record of your day. But you don’t want a cameraman poking his lens in front of your face all the time. You’ll hardly notice our cameraman is at the wedding, but you will notice his craft and flair when you get back from honeymoon, sit back and watch the finished product.

Why get a professional wedding DVD?

You have made one of the biggest decisions of your life; you have chosen each other, chosen to get married and chosen to share the whole day with your family and friends. Many months of thought, effort and attention to detail will ultimately result in a day of celebration reflecting your taste and your style. Are photographs alone really enough?
A wedding DVD captures the light, the laughter, the expressions and the sound of your wedding in a manner that guarantees you can fully re-live the culmination of all that planning. With the nerves of the day, the guests vying for your attention and the whirlwind of excitement through the wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast, speeches and evening celebrations it’s impossible to take everything in.
With a digitally recorded and edited DVD presentation of your wedding day, you get to relive the magic and share it with your family and friends, also those that perhaps couldn’t be there on the day. You also get to see what else is going on at times when you aren’t present, for example the Bride misses out on all the action going on at the church before she arrives.

Wedding DVD Videography

Every wedding is unique and there is no set time limit or restrictions on filming or the final length of your DVD. We have produced four different options for wedding videography, each including different aspects of your day, depending on the extent of coverage you require.
For all weddings where at all possible, we will attend the wedding rehearsal so that we can better gauge camera positioning and anticipate movement through the chosen venue. For Church services the camera positioning is subject to the church layout and restrictions, and also depends on the clergy’s permission. The service is usually covered from the front of the church, to one side (although some churches only allow filming from the back).

Your Videographer

Brooke Vickers has been Conners Ltd’s full time videographer since 1987 and in all of that time we have not had one unhappy customer! He prides himself on the highest levels of dedication, customer service and unobtrusive continued filming, providing a service that is second to none. Every wedding is unique and Brooke’s attitude reflects his belief that only the best will do. Brooke’s aim is to capture the spirit of your wedding day without unnecessarily imposing himself. Natural footage is gained by being as unobtrusive as possible, capturing all the spontaneity of the moment. By doing this it enables Brooke to capture moments when people don’t even notice he is there. This reduces the added pressure people often feel is associated with being filmed. You will be nervous enough without constantly being reminded there is a video camera in the room and thanks to Brooke’s unobtrusive style you will be able to forget you are being filmed and enjoy yourselves.

Your DVD

Conners Ltd is a professional video company dedicated to providing you with a beautifully edited DVD of your special day. Following your wedding, Brooke will load all the footage onto a computer where it is professionally edited with the latest computer editing systems, featuring titles and beautiful transitions, resulting in a high quality DVD full of memories that you will want to watch again and again. The DVD will be ready for collection approximately three weeks from the day of your wedding.

Wedding DVD options

· Ceremony Only £400
This package is ideally suited to those couples that only wish to have the ceremony filmed. It begins with establishing footage of the ceremony location, the arrival of the guests followed by the groom and best man. We then capture the bride arriving at the venue along with the bridesmaids and the procession into the venue. Filming then switches to the inside of the venue for the whole ceremony including signing of the register. Once conducted we film the exiting of the venue, the throwing of confetti and the photo shoot afterwards leading up to the departure from the venue.

· Ceremony and Reception Arrival £475
This package covers approximately half of the standard wedding day. The coverage begins as in the ‘Ceremony Only’ package but then continues, filming the Bride and Groom leaving the venue and then arriving at the reception venue. Filming continues at the reception with footage of the guests and the welcoming line-up. Brooke will leave as you sit down to enjoy the wedding breakfast. To end your DVD Brooke will do a montage to music featuring all the highlights of your day. This is a lovely edited segment that allows you to sometimes just watch the short “best of” version of your day.

· Ceremony, Reception and Evening £675
This package is by far the most popular of all our packages and is a complete record of the whole day. We include all that is included in the previous package but then continue to film the speeches, cutting of the cake and the all-important first dance. Speeches can be a very nerve-wracking experience, and who can remember everything that is said when looking back, even the next day. Brooke excels at capturing all the speeches, whilst remaining unobtrusive and not adding to the nervous tension. Filming will end after the first dance when Brooke will leave you to carry on celebrating with your guests. This coverage will also feature a montage to music of your day’s highlights, as in the previous package.

· Deluxe 2 camera package £995
This price allows full coverage of the main events of the day that allows for a full retrospective of the wedding and the day’s events. Two cameras are used throughout the filming of the entire day. This allows for separate cameras to film coinciding moments, such as the bride arriving for the ceremony whilst the groom waits anxiously inside. The main additional benefit of this package is that we can offer filming of the bride (or groom if preferred) during her morning preparations at their home, hotel or any other chosen venue. This is a really nice way to start the DVD footage, capturing the excitement and anticipation before the bride leaves for the ceremony venue.
The second cameraman will be at the venue capturing the footage of the guests arriving, the groom, bridesmaids and so on, as in the previous packages. Footage continues as with the previous package with the added benefit of an additional cameraman allowing for more flexibility, different angles to be filmed of key moments and a more natural and expressive edit for your DVD. This is especially beneficial during the speeches where the guest reactions can be filmed as well as the person making the speech. Coverage continues onto the first dance and then one cameraman will remain for an hour in the evening (no later than approximately 9pm) to shoot some candid footage on the dance floor of you and your guests.

Additional late coverage:
You may require coverage later in the evening (no later than 11pm), for example, if you have organised fireworks. We charge a one off fee of £75.00 for one cameraman.

Copies:
You receive one DVD copy in the price and further copies can be purchased at the following charges:
One additional copy: £30
Two additional copies: £25 each
Three or more copies: £20 each
