REPORTAGE PHOTOGRAPHY

Reportage photography is the portrayal of a story through the medium of images, developing a more candid approach to increase the levels of realism and emotion.
Most couples still want some traditional pictures, but also want more candid, informal shots. This ensures you have the best of both worlds: a wedding album capturing the spontaneity and emotion of the day.
Many photographs are taken without you ever knowing it, which results in no long, unwanted photo sessions and an unobtrusive service with the minimum disruption to you day. Traditional and group shots will be kept to a minimum, only taking the shots that you requested. This allows you and your guests to continue with the festivities as quickly as possible.

On the wedding day we'll shoot plenty of films to give you a good selection of pictures for your album. Photography typically begins at the bride's home or hotel room with informal shots of the bride, bridesmaids and family capturing all of the fun, fuss and excitement of the day's preparation. The groom will appreciate photographs taken at this time, as he never gets to see this part of the proceedings. Coverage continues at the service venue where the guests will be arriving, through the wedding ceremony and signing of the register, and afterwards with the requested family pictures, either in the church grounds, the reception venue or any other pre-arranged location. The remaining time would be devoted to photography of the bridal group, giving special emphasis to the Bride and Groom, finishing with a mock-up of cutting the cake. Any requests for additional photographs during the day will be attended to wherever possible.

Above all, we endeavour to provide you with a beautiful collection of photographs presented in your own unique, custom made album.

We take approximately 150 colour or black white photographs throughout the day from which you select your favourite images to form your finished album. This will be comprise of approximately 95 5x4 photographs and 10 colour or black and white enlargements of your choice up to 10x8. The album is a luxurious, simple black design finished with silver corners complete with 20 black hinged leaves with the photographs mounted in a variety of bevel cut black overlay styles to complement the reportage album.
